Focus on Floors

If you are short on time and need to clean up quickly- Focus on your Floors!  Quickly vacuum the carpets and sweep and mop your hard surface flooring.  Floors are the largest continuous surface in your home .  You will create a noticeable difference without monopolizing a lot of your time!

It’s easy enough to run to the store and load up your cart with cleaning products and tools, but sometimes, it’s simpler, cheaper, or just more satisfying to come up with your own DIY approaches to getting things done, including cleaning the house. I enjoy trying out new cleaning hacks and am always pleasantly surprised when one of them work.  I did a bit of thinking and a little research, and I came up with a few ideas that are worth a try. Whisk Brush
One of our secret weapons when it comes to pet hair is a whisk brush. This durable tool has harder bristles than a regular broom making it easier for you to sweep away things that tend to stick to surfaces because of friction, static, etc. We usually run this over couches and chairs a couple of times in a quick pulling motion (back to front). The hair should fall to the ground and then you can vacuum or sweep it up from there. Read more
